These aren't working for the radio, cd, etc. I can't remember when I tried to use them last - it might have been since I had the clock spring replaced and I think I read somewhere that there is a wire that goes from these buttons down the center of the steering wheel. Perhap this might be the problem?

How can I troubleshoot? Really don't want to take the steering wheel cover off.....

Thanks.

Hi Leigh.  Willydoit posted an excellent fix for this problem back in 2015 on this forum. Search "volume buttons".   It worked for me!  Good luck

Hi Andrew - yes apologies, I should have mentioned that I had already tried that 'fix' without any success. Thanks. Leigh.

So the other buttons do work - the mode and the channel switches (up and down)....

Does the horn work ? Just wondering if the clock spring behind the steering wheel is damaged.

Yes - the horn works. I had the clock spring changed a while ago.

Hi Leigh
As a new owner of an SC430 with a non-operational sound system I have done much research into now having it performing well.
You've also posted numerous times about aerials both wing and windscreen which prompts me to ask:
Do you have the factory Pioneer/Mark Levinson system?
I know that after market units can't interface with the steering wheel controls.

HI Kev - yes I do have the original ML unit. Thanks. Leigh.
