Well last night sat down with a home made savoury waffle and some spincha quiche and good old dollops of Tomato Sauce and a nice raspberry cordial, then tried watching the Spain v. England, but got bored after first half so watched something else.

Tonight, left overs from Sunday Veggie Roast and a nice cold cider - a treat I enjoy with lashings of hot gravy.

Thought that once again we would have all been having a slice of 'humble pie'.

It's interesting that we last won something at football in 1966. The World Cup! Now we have arrived at the point where the apex of our celebration would be the Europeans, but given we keep fluffing it may be we should start a new competition that we could actually win.. ideas on a postcard to anybody but me.

I know it is the vogue to say "well done lads. You tried hard. You gave it all you have got. It was 110%". Never was much for vogue so I would rather try "please live up to your hype and no one else has a chance".
