Diamond cut alloy refurbishment.

Anyone managed to get their oem diamond cut alloy wheels refurbished? 

Ive been looking into getting mine done & it seems although various places advertise as doing diamond cut wheels, they REALLY dont want to..or maybe they cant, they only want you to get them powder coated, if I insist I want the OEM diamond cut finish, they dont want to know.

I don't know if there is a difficulty or restriction for certain types of wheels for diamond cutting however, The Wheel Specialist definitely do diamond cutting all the time.  They are a franchise and have locations all over the UK.

My personal experience is diamond cut wheels always suffer from corrosion and powder coating is a much better (ie longer lasting) option.

Loads of places can do them. 

The only reason why they don't want to is because they can't make any money off it. Refurbs usually corrode within 1 year. Some places will give a guarantee of 6 months only. 

I bet they'd be willing to do them if you tell them you'd sign a scrap of paper to say there's no guarantee beyond 3 months.....
