how do you seperate the 2 cables running up the right side of the Battery before i resort to cutting them and rejoining them lol. tia 🙂

there actually on the left hand side of the Battery cover/casing . my mistake .

 It's the Battery temperature sensor.

The plug you have circled should seperate though it may take a little persuading!!

because i want to change the Battery

Ahhhh right. There's no reason whatsoever to cut any cables to change a Battery. Just remove the Battery temperature sensor and pull it to one side. Take the top cover off and undo the terminals and remove Battery. BUT before you do anything charge your new Battery with a smart charger. Yes charger it. Your car will love you for it.
