Hello, I've notice our UX's cruise control can only adjust for +/- 5mph every step, eg 60-65-70-65.

Is there any way I can adjust on 1 mph each step? Thanks

When in Adaptive Cruise, (that is when the car matches the speed of the vehicle in front), then it will only increase or decrease in 5's. If you hold the Cruise-on button for a few seconds then you get standard cruise (non-adaptive) and that increases in 1mph increments. Sadly the standard cruise does not have the added safety benefits of the adaptive cruise and I would suggest caution when using it.

If you have always used ACC and then revert to ‘Normal’ CC then have your wits very about you😳

I only ever used adaptive cruise control when I had my UX.

Indeed, the 5mph increments were annoying because in all the cars I had prior to that with cruise control were able to be adjusted by the usual 1mph.

One method I adapted was if I wanted to reduce by 1mph, was to take cruise off and put it back on almost immediately - to account for a 1mph drop, if you know where I'm coming from. Alternatively if I wanted to increase by 1mph, I'd remain on cruise control whilst I gently pressed the throttle to gain that additional 1mph. Then I'd turn off the cruise control and immediately put it on again. A bit of a faff, but I quickly got used to it.

LOL, thats exactly how I do it before. I though I am the only one.

I think we all use a similar method. It's all part of the fun of driving!

I never liked that idea on my old NX but I’m pleased to gloat that you can set it at any speed and vary it by 1mph on current models.
