The link relates to a ‘new hardware security component’ to be made available across the range; details at your Lexus dealer from end April 2024. This is in addition to the security plates available for the 4th gen RX.

Yep - my dealer emailed me back last week as I thought it worthwhile to try and get near the front of the queue :

"Good Afternoon Mr Eight, As per the article you have highlighted, we are awaiting Lexus to advise us which models are affected. I have kept a log of your enquiry and will be in touch as soon  as we have an update, Lexus have advised we should have this by the end of April this year."

Impossible to say as no details are available even to dealers.

According to the definition of a vehicle “Hardware Component” this would suggest a modified ECU.
