Hi - I have a 2014 RX 450h standard UK spec. I’ve just fractured my pelvis skiing so can’t drive for 6 weeks or so - if I just start the engine & listen to the radio for half an hour once a fortnight should that keep battery/hybrid Battery topped up? The engine alternates on& off if I do so. Not a car guy, answer may be obvious to some or many, appreciate if a kind soul could help?

I’d do it once a week which will be kinder to the 12 v Battery - they don’t like being discharged too much.

.......or get a trickle charger.. you'll only have to hobble out once to connect it.It can then be used on an ongoing basis to ensure the 12v Battery is fully charged.

Would be better if someone could drive it around the block once a week, as this will prevent the tyres getting flat spots, clean surface rust of the brake discs, reduce likelihood of parking brake sticking etc.
