Hi,

Could someone please explain how the scheduled charging from the App works. I have a UX300e but suspect it will be the same for the RZ.

In the app I can set a start time for a charge, or a finish time but not both. (Incidentally how do you delete a set charge?)

If I have cheap electricity between 12 am and 5 am. How do I get it to charge between these times. Do I plug the cable in, set a start time of 12 am and it will automatically stop when the Battery is full? Or do I set a finish time of 5am and hope it starts and charges at the rate it expects to be full at 5am. Then it will stop charging at 5am even if it is not full. When I go out at 8am I unplug the cable.

I am using a Zappi home charger.

Thanks

Paul

It's pretty useless basically if you want to use cheap rate electricity, I ended up setting it start at the beginning of the cheap rate and just hope it finishes before it ends. Got fed up with it after a few weeks and bought an Ohme charger so charging was fully controlled.

In the RZ App you can set a stater and stop time - you set the start and then the turn off time. In the car you can set the maximum charge %

Hi, I also have an RZ 450e and use the schedule in the Lexus App to programme the charging for only when I have cheap rate electricity, which is also between midnight and 5am.

Procedure: Open The Lexus + App

1, Click charging schedule, then click add schedule, then set start time, then toggle slider to set stop time then set the stop time, then select all the days in the week view that you wish to charge, then click save schedule. Now whenever I plug in to home charge it will not charge except within the time frame set in the schedule . I hope this helps, you can have more than one schedule and just select the one you want. you can also delete schedules in the app. I hope this helps . - Phil 🙂

Thanks, but the UX app is different. There is no Charging Schedule, just Upcoming Charge, where you can set a one off start time, or departure time.

Hi I have an Ohme charger but I am struggling with the schedules I have once set for every evening at Midnight and some times it charges and other times it doesnt. I plug in prior to midnight sometimes the green light at the plug in point flashes which I believe it needs to but other times I cant get it to come on. What am I doing wrong or do I have a faulty connection.??  I always try charge at the half way mark that way there is enough time between 12 - 5am when I have my cheap rate and it is enough time to charge to full.

It's best not to use the cars own scheduler, just leave it so whenever connected to power it will charge and let the Ohme charger control everything. In the Ohme app, I set up dynamic charging to charge to full and set the charge cap to the unit cost of my economy rate. When I plug the car in, the Ohme says "delayed charging" and waits until your rate drops  to the set level before supplying power to the car, when the car is charged it stops taking pawer automatically. If you go back to the car and unlock it after plugging in it will stop the charge so you need to unplug the cable and then plug it in again to reset the charge cycle.

I use the Lexus Link + app to schedule a charge to start at 12:10. If I charge when it has about 50 miles left then it has finished charging by 5am. That is on a Zappi charger.
Set the app for scheduled charge. Plug in the cable to the car. Lock the car. Plug the cable to the Zappi and select charge on the zappi. It checks the RCD etc then states Charging Delayed. This works for me.
