New to Lexus

Only polite to introduce myself - sold my Toyota C-HR back to the dealer and ended my PCP deal as I was so unhappy with it, and decided to buy a 12 year old low mileage IS250 for cash instead. I've only had the car for 2 days, but couldn't be happier. Looking forward to learning more about it going forward, and no doubt will be tapping in to the knowledge base here.

I’m sure you’ll find the LOC not only a great source of knowledge - but also very entertaining.  

So….why did you choose an IS250?  Many longtime Lexus owners consider it among the best of the Lexus range.  Photos are always appreciated!

My first suggestion, if you haven’t already done so, is go to lexus.co.uk and register it on the MyLexus site.  If it’s been regularly serviced by Lexus dealers you may be able to find its past history.

And if it didn’t come with them, you can also download the Owner Manuals.  They’re almost as informative as many of the members here - but with fewer laughs!  😊

Hi Tom and welcome to the best Lexus forum there is and congratulations on getting the is250. With it being a 2012 model it'll be a gen 3 as opposed to a gen 2. What made you go for the gen 3 instead of the gen 2? Which spec car have you got?
