Hi - has anyone got experience of fitting the Lexus supplied rear bumper protection film to their phase 2 NX? It doesn't seem that robust looking at the product on the Lexus accessories website.  There seem to be some aftermarket custom plastic offers for phase 1 but I can't find any for phase 2. Universal products look a bit amateurish and probably won't fit well. Thank you for any comments / suggestions.

I got it fitted as part of the protection pack. Its basically a thin transparent vinyl strip which isn't nearly as robust as the phase 1 aluminium version. That said it appears to be doing the job after 22 months!

Many thanks - I will give it a try. I guess an accessories manufacturer will get around to making an ABS or aluminum one at some point. Thank you again for taking the time to reply.

The clear vinyl strip does the job just fine.

I assume it is the same clear vinyl as that use to protect and wrap cars to fend off scratches and stone chips. If so I can assure you that it will last the test of time longer than plastic trim.

I had the Lexus clear strip fitted to my NX nearly six years ago.

It is still in place, has not lifted at all even using a pressure washer and has protected the bumper well during this time.
