ES Which Magazine Best Large Luxury Car

The Lexus ES is the Best Buy Large Luxury Car rated in “Which Magazine” as we all know it’s a fantastic car and I’m sure we’d all recommend it to friends and  family. Apart from of course the theft issue, which isn’t mention the article. The price, gadgets and the reliability was what sold it for me and this is what Which rate it for.

Agree it's a nice car etc... mechanically sound, comfortable, reliable...

But there is no way I could recommend a car that could be stolen in under a minute  to anyone. It surprises me that the motoring press doesn't bring up this sort of issue - it's a real world problem for owners. And if the motoring press started addressing this issue then we would be more likely to see a proper fix.

A lovely car at great value for money, but what else do you get; sleepless nights for fear of theft, massive depreciation, incredible insurance costs.  For me it's a no-brainer - not worth the hassle, sorry. Give me a second hand IS any day please.

It is kind of odd that now the motoring press is impressed with the gearbox 🤔

The very same gearbox which was widely deemed whiny/droney and not befitting of a car which is competing with the likes of the haloed Germans.

I think either they are incompetent and not doing their research properly, or don't want to upset the manufacturer as they get nice freebies such as loan cars, plush launch events etc.

I wouldn't label Which? as motoring press, they have widely recommended hybrids for years.
