Hi all,

I seem to be getting a lot of interior condensation on rear screen. Anyone else have this problem. Not had it on any of my previous vehicles. Even putting the rear screen heater on isn't clearing it.

I have the same problem with my ES. I have placed a moisture absorbing bag on the rear shelf that my son used to use in his car years ago. With all the strange weather we are having it's a bit difficult to work out if it's an improvement as some days it's wet and some days bone dry. If it helps I'll get a bigger longer one that will look better.

Yes. I have this issue in my old Previa. Window seal gone somewhere. The moisture absorbing bags are excellent. Does the job.

I can't say I've noticed any condensation on the inside of the rear screen of mine.

The only thing I can suggest...and I'd find it incredibly hard to believe on such a young car, is what's already been said - a window seal gone/split or alternatively outside moisture is getting into the rear hatch at some point. I recall Rover used to have issues with water getting into the boot through the rear light cluster seals.

It's certainly worthy of further investigation if it's clearly more than just a 'one off'.

Something isn’t right. My 2016 NX 300h doesn’t have this problem. I’d take it to your local dealer and get that sorted under warranty.

A car of your age and quality really shouldn’t get this until many, many years down the road.

A 2007 Ford Fiesta might get this, not a 2023 Lexus.

Anything damp in the boot?

I would check all the carpets for dampness and lift up any covers in the boot to see if water is getting in anywhere.

Thanks for the replies. No dampness anywhere i can see or ingress of water. The rear window just mists up and won't clear. Dealer has said the locking wheel bolts should be available soon so will mention it when i book it in for that.

I know that this is a bit basic but do you leave the aircon on all the time? This usually dries out the air within the car and thus prevents misting up and condensation.

We have no issues with our NX350h with H&V on "Auto". Beware, there is a setting which defaults the aircon off in the auto mode.

to be honest in the winter i always turn the aircon off

You Should Keep it on Robert..It helps to prevent Condensation Building up in the Car..Especially the front Windscreen First thing in the Morning..I Have found By keeping it Activated screen clears Much Much Quicker...!!!

Thanks Ron. I have kept it on and it seems, fingers crossed, to have cured the problem. Funny cos I have always switched it off in the winter on every other car i have owned and not had this problem.
