Jazz parked up.

Off to just north of Dieppe on Monday for the final week of our autumn sojourn.

Bit of seaside action with added Belle Epoch. You don't get that in Skegness.

Adequate would best describe it.

1500cc cvt.

However, as many of the country lanes are covered in cow poo it is better than getting the Lexus mucky.

I had a 2003 CVT Jazz as a runaround car for many years, now passed to my daughter. I would say without exaggeration that it is the best car ever made. I now have a CR-V which is a great car also. Neither have been to France. The SC on the other hand does more French miles than English ones.

Parked up in our final little airbnb. A charming little Norman gite in an idyllic little hamlet.

The Tractor Pinot Noir is trés agreeable.

Volcanic soils can't beat it. BTW The original Norman Git was Guillaume le batard.

These complex Etna Red wines are well worth a try, grown on volcanic soils around Etna, but they can be quite pricey and hard to get over here.

Saw this broken down vert. Not a Lexus or I might have bought it. You can probably guess the marque.

Got home just in time to get the volt meter delivered.

Big news. Decided to sell the motorhome so we can spend our meagre 180 days a year in Europe in the Lexus!

More adventures to come.

Decided to sell the motorhome

Against my advice our son wants to buy a motorhome. He is keen on buying a van and having it converted. I just tried to tell him it was  bad idea on how to spend many thousands of pounds. But you know kids they never listen.  So any advice would be welcome and I will see if he will listen.  Without giving too much away which one do you have?

Might have trouble fitting the bed in the boot.

My advice watch out for clues that you may be the one's living in it.

Another thing to moan about is since reaching 70 years old I can’t  drive a minibus or a motorhome depending on it’s weight unless I get a medical check up done by a doctor. Why can I can drive both at 69 but not at 70 when I now drive safer than I did in my youth.

Moan over. Good luck with the sale.

My bus weighs in at 4500kg so I too will need to prove I can drive it when I hit 70.

Joking aside I remember when looking they hold their price a damn sight better than most cars. There are worse things he could do with his money.

Winter in the UK is possibly the best time to buy with owners laying them up for the months ahead .......... or wanting to just get rid ............ also now with personal finances being impacted with Budget etc there might be more owners trying to liquidate into cash ....  just my thought

Its upcoming a good time to buy  .......  poor time to sell

We had an evening's debate on the matter and I said £40K.? You could have a lot of holidays for that sum and not have the costs of keeping a motorhome.   Did you know that near where we lived in France the local villains would pump gas into the motorhomes parked in the "aires" overnight to put the owners to sleep, then rob them.  My suggestion was always pay for a proper campsite.

One one campsite - run by the mayor - a lot of motorhomes were swept away by floods when we had torrential rain and the river burst its banks. The mayor went to prison  ( Lamalou-les-bains ).

Sold this morning. Was on its last legs really. Gone to be used for spares.

Lots of damp and the mice had climbed aboard.

Took a lot out of it on our travels. But very much been there done that.

Bit of a relief to get rid of it before the next massive bill.
