No electric in my garage. Will have to remove Battery and keep in my shed. Hence the novelty of reversing into garage.

Agree money well spent, Rioja, and the chargers ok.😇

Actually appears very similar to my CTEK MXS5

Car just about started today for garage shunting. Would not have taken a second startup though.

Proves however that Battery is not being drained dry by a phantom load like when roof was left down.

How long had you had ut in charge for?

Does the charger have a crank test function?

I am curious about the hood down situation. As anybody read anything previously to suggest prolonged hood down drains the Battery?

Seems only conclusion I can come to.

Absolutely fully charged Battery was drained to zero in 3 or 4 days with roof down.

Partially charged (25 mile drive) Battery retained enough oomph to crank after 2 days with roof up.

Been tucked in the garage for a month now. Can't come out until February! Kinda missing it.

Will service and MOT then.

Might take to the Loire for March holiday...

One of these would give a definitive answer....

Lexus still tucked up in the garage, all miles used up.

Had to revert to the Honda Jazz for our three week tour of Normandy and Brittany.

Currently based near Alençon.

Is the Jazz a good Continental cruiser ?

Adequate would best describe it.

1500cc cvt.

However, as many of the country lanes are covered in cow poo it is better than getting the Lexus mucky.

I will just jump on my high horse for this bit of info...........

BTW  I would be a bit suspicious of this wine. It has some dubious connections which are probably correct but may have changed, so not 100% sure.  The wine pretends to be/ looks like proper bourgogne chardonnay but the last time I checked it was from the Languedoc wine lake. The Bouchard generic name had a good reputation until the family split up, but this wine is from a massive company with a mixed reputation called Boisset.  When I tried it years ago it was typical Languedoc chardonnay i.e. OK but none of the character of a true burgundy which is to be expected as it only has the grape in common.  If you like real burgundy, at a not so stupid price, Waitrose are, or were, doing a promo offer on their Chablis, from a proper long established chablis company called Moreau. It's just called Chablis No1, probably to show Waitrose's attempt to provide genuine classics from different regions. A bit like M&S range of classics but a lot better.

Finally, the best Bouchard named wines are still from Bouchard pere et fils, Aine is a breakaway company that is more commercial. Google the history if you are interested.   Don't pour this ( aine ) pretender away but don't expect a lot from it.

PS they even try to trick you by putting Beaune on the front label - that is where the company is based, not where the wine is from.

Buy 2019 Bouchard Pere et Fils Puligny Montrachet les Chalumeaux 750ML ...

Our wines > Bouchard Aîné & Fils

At €4 a bottle I wasn't expecting Burgundy

Not criticising your obviously good taste in wine and cars and acknowledge one can't drink fine wine every day as a pensioner in the UK🙃.  That's a very good price even for a supermarket for an OK wine. I think you would probably pay about £8 over here for it. I was just getting on my high horse about burgundy and some of the dubious companies and marketing tactics. For my sins I worked in the wine trade in France for a while and some of the stories and tricks would make your hair curl. It's a minefield at the very least.

Don't know these wines/producers but the vin volcanique is interesting. They make some very good value wines in the Aveyron and Auvergne on volcanic soils. I'd give it a try any day.🙂
