Interestingly my wife tells me there is as much room sitting in the rear of my LBX as there was in the back of my old UX.

Tel, Great news….I just looked I see arrival in a GB Port on May 14th.

I have a date at dealers of May 10th, so I’m assuming my boat is sooner and further along in the journey to the UK.

How did  you get to know which vessel your car is on.

Posted

Lexus Twitter Team or your Dealer know which Container Ship your LBX is on.

Tel,Thank you quite strange after asking you the question. I just took a call from the Lexus dealer who had given me a date of 10th May, he informed me my car has just arrived on a transporter today 21st of April into the dealer.

I asked him to confirm it was indeed my car….he said yes…..strange but true.

It’s a vehicle carrier Tel!   It says Gibraltar but my guess is it’s on its way to Livorno in Italy via the long way.  Happy tracking!

In my experience, the Lexus Portal & Lexus Link+ are not informative .

Lexus Derby & Lexus Twitter have excelled.

The 2026/7 UX will be larger to move it away from the LBX & allow larger UXE Batteries to address the Range Issue.

How have you been able to track the exact location, Tel?  Reason I ask is because all I can see from My Garage on the Lexus + app is "Left the factory..." but no details as to where it is or on which ship.  I was informed there was an LBX Takumi in White with Saddle Tan en route when I ordered it last month, with an ETA of around mid-May.

We ordered 21st March, first update we got was Friday evening to say the car was at the Derbyshire prep centre, no updates in between, rebuild, shipping etc.

Surprised me when the price list show Takumi spec have a longer lead time!

I can only assume they have either built some to certain specs and shipped them out, or since people have seen the car in the flesh orders have been cancelled.

Why?  If it takes 40+ days on the ship, plus build time, transport to the ship, and from Portbury to uk distribution centre, Lexus must have a great crystal ball as that means they new we wanted Blue with Sandy interior before we even ordered the car 🤣😆

Tim,

3 of us on here are benefitting from cancelations although mine only saved a couple of weeks.

Ask your Dealer which Vessel your car is on or is it now in Bristol etc.

Ordered my LBX Takumi end of January and delivered today. Overall customer experience was okay except they couldn’t provide the second key because the sales advisor has locked in her cabinet for “safe keeping” and not back till Thursday.

The sales manager called and asked for feedback and rate my experience from 0-10. Apparently if I rated below 9 is a failed customer satisfaction. Could someone confirm this is true or they are tricking customer to give a high rating to look good.

The good news is. after 3 visits to the east coast of Spain, my Vessel appears to be heading towards the Gibraltar Strait .

All LBX have ,as standard, protection film on the leading edge of the of the rear wheel arches & my Ruby Red matches my Yaris Cross Scarlet Flare.

A Test Drive of a FWD version of a Takumi Design was sublime, given it had the basic rear suspension & Dealer tyre pressures !

The HUD incorporates ACP which is a boon & the electronic gear selector seemed less fluid than I expected.

Very impressive & Customers are said to be delighted with the mpg of the FWD LBX.

All we need now is Don to develop his version of the LBX & then my joy would be complete.

I really think there is a market for the LBX and it will sell, for Lexus standards that is. Proven drivetrain, conservative in architecture and especially inside, Lexus premium. If you want a small car, premium brand, reliability, looks ,where can you go? Audi kills the Q2, Mercedes the A class, Bmw 1 series and Mini are more for the younger generation. Lexus is aiming the car at younger buyers but i see a different demographic. Affluent pensioners and 2nd or 3rd car in the household. The initial reviews have been positive  and the car seems a big step above the Toyota. I havent seen or driven it yet but it seems much more developed than the RZ electric for instance.

Only Thing I,m Not To Impressed with is the Lexus Badge on the front of The Bonnet It Seems Somewhat Lost and not very Prominant... Small Point Against what is a really A Great Little Car..!!

Thought I was the only person to think 'rubbish badge on the bonnet'... Perhaps Lexus deemed a proper badge too expensive on the 'cheap' Lexus?   All the more disappointing given the lack of a badge on the rear, in favour of the 'on trend' script (which is also rubbish, IMO).

OK, not important in the grand scheme of things, but, meh!

They are not on the back of my NX either, but in the US they are...

I believe the RAV has AWD, so not sure why Lexus decided not to add them for the UK market.  I did think about button one on, but then technically I am modifying the car, so I do not want to go down that insurance rabbit hole 😆

I am niggled because my 2023 Cross has the AWDi badge.

Could get my Toyota Dealer to get me one, the badge would never be Warranty Issue but maybe ceramic coating would need removing.

Interesting that you would want the car identified as AWD.  Personally I wouldn’t care one way or the other and, perhaps I’m wrong, but I can’t imagine that many other owners would either.  Did Lexus UK’s promotional literature illustrate an LBX with AWD badging (*see note below)? If it did I would think that your dealer would be obliged to provide you with the badge free of charge if you were to insist.

(*note) I just had a quick look at some online brochures for Italy and France and couldn’t find any pictures of the LBX with an AWD badge.  I test-drove an AWD in Italy some months ago (see my post above) but I honestly can’t remember if was thus badged. I suspect, however, that it wasn’t because, being badged as an Original Edition model, any further lettering would have struck me as a visual overload.

My LBX arrives in Bristol today.

How do I now Track it in the UK please ?

Car has arrived in Bristol & will transfer to Burnaston, on the outskirts of Derby  & only when it arrives @ my Dealers in Derby will I again know its precise location.

The Maritime Ap is great , My Dealer & the Lexus Twitter Team excel but the Lexus Portal & the new Lexus Link+ App show my Order is awaiting Processing.

ETA is said to be the 12th. of June, based on an early April forecast.

That is pretty much my experience, too.  The Lexus Link + app showed the car 'in transit' until it arrived at the depot, when I got an email to state that it was in the UK and was being prepared.  A few days later I received another email to the effect that the car was at the dealership, who called me to arrange collection. The app now reflects that status.
