Anyone know if there is a manual release mechanism for the fuel flap on the NX?  Mine has decided not to open even though when I press the button a message appears saying "Ready to Refuel" on the drivers display.

If you go into the boot and open the panel on the left wing you can access the mechanism for the flap from there.

Ken thanks, I opened that small panel but cannot see/locate any mechanism. The panel is quite some way below the fuel flap.

Yes but if you put your hand in you will find a lever which when pushed will open the flap.

As Ken  says. Open the left compartment in boot. If you put your hand in you will find a trigger to open flap. Its a well known issue on the NX BUT there is a fix. Ask dealer to sort the issue out. They will replace the required parts.

The revised filler flap mechanism has been successful thus far (as have the upgraded door handles to address the frozen doors issue).
