BUT Howard actually polishes into the corners of the windows and Pearl makes sure he's very thorough 😉

Oh to live in Yorkshire

Malc

I met Pearl when I was in hospital - very nice lady though a tad eccentric. She told me a lovely story about travelling up from Kent to Huddersfield for rehearsals.  She had a Merc sports job and tended to drive rather fast. She was stopped by a police traffic officer. The conversation went:-

Policeman: "You have been going rather fast Madam. I have been following you for 8 miles. Do you not look in your mirror?"

Pearl: "Officer, when I am travelling at that speed I keep my eyes on the road!"

Sadly Pearl was still done for speeding! I am not sure now but I think her real name was Julia. Sadly she passed away a while ago. She also starred in Coronation Street - I never watch that though.

Silver one with many a fault.

Don't fancy his chances of a sale at his price. Advisories on underbody corrosion and presumably no treatment taken. Self disclosed issues to be resolved. I thought the leatherwork was fairly shabby for the miles covered. Hard to find positives although the alloys looked pretty decent as far as one can tell from a pic.

Vibration through the steering at speed when breaking will probably be front discs distorted , so discs/pads should sort that out .

Also a check of the front suspension ball joint just to be sure nothing is hanging off !

Roof not working is almost a ‘blank cheque’ to fix, could be a simple switch alinement right through to new motors/linkage etc😮😮

….or just drive it as a coupe 😉

Not enough wood inside for my liking though.

A member defected to one of those a few years ago …never heard from him again .

The company folded and the sister company nissan took over the servicing work .

Think body and trim spares could be a problem and definitely very few being broken for spares .

This car is either the conker colour or it’s been painted a more pale bronze.

Rather odd it has the pine wood inside…not an option on the facelift .

looks tidy but did spot the wing liner missing .

Cat N

Could be why the interior has been changed 🤔

I do quite like the light maple effect

The Cat N  predated much Lexus Main Dealer history too  .....  and after all, he's only asking 3 X the cost of a door mirror on a later Lexus  ( you seeing those posts £2100, it's barmy )

Cmon, wrap my silver car in green. It's yours for £4G today only.

Been trying to find an annoying coolant leak for a while, and found that the header tank seam is blown.

Please please can someone point me in the direction of a perfect used one or a sensibly priced new??

Lexus just quoted me £475 +   Not happy....    Help !

ish. I'm LED to believe that the part number is 16470/50130, and not 120 as shown. I need clarification somehow before I order anything

I had to bite the bullet and order the top one, from Tokyo, £153 with the post. 3 weeks delivery. 😞

A bit late now but I would happily have looked up further information for you on request (see pictures) to confirm the correct type.

Generally when the last digit or 2 is changed it is a modified part ( maybe the 20 had seam splitting problems and the 30 overcame this.

Thanks Steve. This is becoming a major headache.  120 part is not the same pattern as mine. 130 IS ! - so I would only order 16470/50130.

After I pressed BUY and paid the £153, I rapidly checked the price on the amayama site that you posted.  The cost came out at £93 all in.

Stupidly, or not, I immediately cancelled the first one, and went through the process to order the amayama one.   Still to be confirmed and paid... although I believe it's nighttime in Japan until midnight here.

Downside here, is that I want to sell my car asap. The first supplier quoted 3 weeks delivery. Amayama quote 4-8 weeks. I'm going to be advertising a convertible for sale in Sept/Oct. Great!
