Pretty good going compared to other cars of this age of other manufacturers considering only roughly 2000 sold in the UK. It’s says something about the build quality of these cars and their owners. Well the car at least. My build quality is not what it was.

Just a quick note to all who helped make yesterday, esp Uan, at the Bear such a pleasant experience. Thanks to all who welcomed me into the community and fed me with inspiration and knowledgable and experienced advice. Sad not to sell my car, but is that such a bad thing?  Have sent a pic of my patchy roof panel to a local panel wrapper for a quote.

NO warranty will be provided = never had belt replaced?

I have found No Warranty to be fairly common in dealer sales at that sort of age and value. Not a universal thing though. However, the dealer in this case seems to be pretty underwhelming across the board in their description and terms. We wouldn't be human if we were not left wondering about that.

Paintwork look okay other that a scuff on the front bumper….its not like a dealer to miss a trick on selling at top dollar.

Although looking at their other stock this SC is just loose change 😮

Young metal iffy paint wins it for me!

Clearly you never heard the one about the old bull and the young bull.

Looking at their other stock as Bob says this one at around 10k is just there to be moved on quickly. They made their bank on the one they took this one against, and this one is just capital to be freed up. As it is well priced perhaps not to be there long?

Thanks Bob. Paintwork on mine. Still in a minor quandary over the front wing mismatched colour. Might pig with it to see if I can hide it. The roof though... Had an initial quote to wrap the roof in silver for £80, until I saw their budget wrap, which didn't match. HOWEVER, after a bit of negotiation, they agreed to order in a very good silver colour match, paid for up front, for £140, which I was very happy with. And they're doing it Tuesday. I will take an after pic. Posting how it looks now here.IMG_6133.thumb.jpg.fe90e5ada2b94f2fb40a7fab26e80ae2.jpg

Some people do the roof a completely different colour altogether.

Agree I’ve seen a black roof on a silver SC and a silver roof on a blue one 👍🏻

Here's the roof wrapped.

Am I happy? - Mostly, yes.

Is it good? - Fairly, and great value at £140, compared to a professional spray job.

Was it quick? - Maybe an hour or so to do, and organised within a few days.

I toyed with 'carbon fibre black' - hmm, boils down to opinions. I aimed for as original as possible, under the circumstances.

Colour match? - it's a metal flake silver style and as near a match as I could get with the swatches. It may dull down with age, and would then match better.

Anything I'm not happy with? - well, to be VERY finicky, you can see at very close inspection, that it is folded under the corners, but there is no escape from that. It's pretty neat, and very saleable, compared to 'oh, the roof needs painting.... '

Given a choice, would I do the same again? - Yes! and this can be moved if it's not what is required long term.

Would I recommend them? - I guess so, Newport Wraps.co.uk.

Well that look 100x better than when I saw it at the SC meeting and as you say very saleable now .

Have you got a plan to fix the bumper ?

I had a very quick go. Before and after shown here.

You would be surprised how often the SC 430 has popped up on film.

Spotted a silver one on Bangers & Cash the other day , don’t think it was a new episode….Reg as PX54 XZY.

Guess they would make little money being auctioned .

Quick calculation.

Drive 400 miles per year and car will cost you roughly £4.00 per mile.

Drive 6000 miles and it will cost about 50p per mile.

I don’t look at the running costs …if I did it would make no financial sense at all 😉

You’ve most definitely used your car as it should be …long touring trips👏🏻👏🏻
