Does anyone have any ideas about getting rid of the annoying 'Terms ofUse & Privacy Notice' which comes up every time I start my RX450h+? I have to tick two boxes and press an 'Accept' button every time before it will go away. If I just press the 'Don't Accept' button, it will go away until the next start, but the Iphone app will no longer register journeys.

I don't think your remote is registered properly to you, I had a similar problem. Go through the setup process again, you may need to hold the remote close to the start button as part of this. Once set up properly, the car recognises you and the accept terms and conditions page doesn't show.

I have the same issue. Do you mean the key when you say remote?

Didn't realise you had to hold the key near the start button

Yes, it's the actual key that needs to be held near enough to the start button to register. This video shows the key linking process from 43:50 :

So basically with the new system it's a nag screen that won't go away until you activate the lexus connected services, right? At least with the previous version you had the choice to use connected services or not. After reading through the terms and conditions I found them too intrusive, tracking your location, speed, cornering, acceleration, braking...etc. No thanks.

Thanks Alex - I've made copious notes on Melissa's tutorial so will have a bash at re-linking the (only) key when my good lady brings the car back!

The key syncing appears to have worked although I ignored all her stuff about apple Car Play, whatever that is.

Also went through the 'Set Up Face' routine which should overcome my other problem with continually being told to 'Sit Up! Driver's Face Not Detected'. Not sure how this will work when my other half is driving though - she doesn't have a beard.

I'm working my way through the 3 hours or so of Melissa's wonderful Deep Dive Tutorial. Pity whoever wrote the handbook didn't watch this.

Cheers, Tom

Glad you've got it sorted, it is a very useful video though I don't think the UK spec car has all the same features as the US.

The solution to your other half driving will be when you get the second key, link that to the car for her preferences!

The key syncing definitely works when held up to the power button - didnt know that was a thing but glad its sorted. Will register my face at some point!

Many thanks!
