my phone is paired through Bluetooth with car but car system can't access my phone contact list. any advise would be welcome.

Sounds a bit obvious, for which I apologise, but have you given permission for the car to access your data? The request should pop up and you just click yes I think. On Android anyway.

Hi Ray just pop it down to Lexus depot they will sort it out that’s what I do the electronics on these cars way to complicated for us older generations meaning me good luck Ray and Happy new year.

As Charles said, you usually get a pop up. However, you may need to unpair (“forget”) the phone and car, and re-pair again via Bluetooth to get the pop up and select allow on the smartphone when it asks for permission to share contacts etc.

You may also need to enable Sync Contacts on your phone. For Iphone, do the following:

• Go to Settings | Bluetooth | Lexus
• Scroll down and ensure that Sync contacts is checked. Underneath this on my phone I had Phone Favourites, Phone Recents and All Contacts also checked
