Been loving the ISF. Hate the TEYES head unit as I cannot get the climate control to work and it doen'nt even have decent sound. The only thing I like is the GPS speedometer. Now looking to get rid of it and reassemble my original unit. Need the climate control to work or inside will mist up and I'll freeze while driving.

My only issue with these aftermarket set ups. They look good, but I need 100% Lexus functionality and reliability. Shame it hasn't worked out.

Anychance anyone has worked out how to replace the cruise control module so it is not limited to 115 kph?

Hi Ben, recently got myself a JDM IS350 and looking for the same thing, as I eventually want a JDM ISF too, have you managed to find anything?

I'm sure that we can put a speedo convertor in line of the speedo signal. Can connect it to the speedo output from the gearbox, if we can get to it, or will need to find the speedo signal wire going to the ECU. Then the cruise control will be limited to 115MPH

As you all know, I've removed my JDM infotainment unit and replaced it with a TEYES unit which looks good, works well, sound output is ok - not the best, BUT its Android and has all the bits an android head unit has. My only gripe is that I can't control my climate control, which is needed this time of year as can't really drive with windows down...

So I just bit the bullet, took a chance and bought a UK spec infotainment unit from eBay a 2011 car being broken. Got it for a steal  - £190 delivered and its unmarked in excellent condition. As a bonus, it had 5 CD's in it. Really pleased as my JDM unit had a HDD and so does this. All that is of no real use is the navigation which I'm not worried about as it's dated and not as good as what we are used to on our phones. Also sounds better than the TEYES unit.

May still keep the TEYES and if I finally sort the climate control, I'll be a happy bunny 🙂

I'd like to also change the rear illumination of the switches to white from green, but most importantly I have to swap the front faces of the units from grey to black as that's what's fitted to the ISF's

Why did you go for the replacement TEYES unit on the first place? Because of the Android functionalities? Couldn't care less about sat nav, but climate control is among the top things I would like to have easy access to. Was it also because it was all in Japanese? I would learn controls by heart with English manual. 😄

Yes, I went for the TEYES as it has good reviews, but mainly  because it was annoying goggling Japanese every time I wanted to access the infotainment & GPS  speedometer in mph on screen. Most people have good reviews of the TEYES and it does work, maybe I was just unlucky as it was not compatible with my car or I did something wrong in the set up 🤔

I meant to say that I'd like to change the switch colours on the oem infotainment from green to white, but need to find what I did with the bits 😆

Just wondering how many imported ISF's are here on the club

1 - What have you'll done to convert the Kmph to Mph

2 - What have you'll done to convert the text on the dash and head unit from Japanese to English

3 - Undersealing. Not keen on Lanoguard as it needs doing every other year or year depending on how harsh the environment has been. I'd like a more permanent solution.

4 - Radio frequency conversion, what did you'll do

Thanks for all ideas guys

Thank you, I now have  more of an idea.

I’ll see what I can pull out, though they were silver, rather than darker shadow chrome.
