Imported ISF

Recommended Posts

I have been playing with suspension adjustment today to check max comfort and max track setups and I found an interesting info on dampers. They have iCode signature on them. Quick check online and it says that LEMS sells them for $4960 ?!

Can someone explain me please why is this so expensive to buy? What is so special here as I thought that is a standard bilstein kit for £1-2k max. And I have no background with suspension upgrades hence my question.

Pictures to show what I am talking about.

LEM's parts are expensive in general. No reasoning behind it really. For reference, their bog standard black ISF front grill is over £400 (plastic!). I guess they base the price of their parts similar to that of Ohlins and OEM. Not to say they're not worth it, but I think the expense is name only and I say this because their incredibly expensive titanium intake elbow is not a reccomended part for more power (by my tuner).

Agreed, LEMS RunRiot parts are silly expensive - just paying for a name at the end of the day as I'm sure that equivalent parts are cheaper.

Check out their website

Not tried on mine, but my boss knows a guy that uses these and he swears by them on his classic Ford's (some are pulling serious BHP numbers).

I'd love to weigh a set one day against OEM equivalents!

I got a response from RR racing and they didn’t do nor sell anything for my car.

After searching for few hours I got all facts right this time.

All mods are done by iCode in my car.

So my 2 pieces brakes are iCode not RR.

Same with suspension, exhaust, intake, speed delimiting, map(?) etc

All done by iCode in Japan and it makes sense now.

Yeah icode throttlebody. I looked into one but couldn't find any actual evidence of gains, so never carried on down that path.

They're over $1k new. If I were you I'd hunt down any other changes. If they've gone mental on an engine build it would be super cool and a massive headache at the same time. Perhaps email icode and see if they can help you out. It would be good to grab a run down on what it's had done, especially come replacing parts. If only for the potential issue that you have to replace something simple, but it ends up causing running issues. Some of those icode ISF's ran cams and everything. 8,000 rev limits, etc.

I have confirmed the RR Racing tune now fitted to my car removes the Japanese speed limiter which is nice, need to work out how to remove the cruise limiter.

Didn't know that there is a cruise limiter. What's it at?

115kph so roughly 72mph which is a bit too slow annoyingly

Received my TEYES android headunit this afternoon. Came very well packed.

No customs as it was marked down to $60.00

Will have to wait till I'm back from a trip...

Still struggling with the TEYES unit. Works great, sounds good and looks like its factory fit. Haven't customised the sound yet. But still haven't got the climate control to work. Just as well Summer hasn't arrived yet, not sure if we'll have a summer in 2024!

Also with the chunky wires behind the infotainment, still not got it to fit flush, but not giving up.

Original reverse cam does not work with TEYES, so ordered a decent AHD camera. Arriving by the weekend. Will have it plugged it by then.
