Usual apologies if this has been covered before ...... On a recent visit to Swindon I ordered some wiper blades to collect from Lexus  Parts Direct, thus saving the postage. On the journey down, the O/S rear window was accidentally lowered and then refused to stay up again unless by small touches to the control.

While at Lexus Swindon I boldly enquired if the Service Manager would give me the reset procedure. He willingly did so, and it works!

If any other member/owner thinks it would be useful, I'll gladly give full details, maybe a 'How to'?

BIG shout-out and thanks to all at Lexus Swindon!!

Here we go, then. These are the instructions from Lexus, plus my own observations as I  did the reset.

N.B. This will only work if you use the switch on the affected door, not the combined switch on the driver's door.  * Ignition on.*

1. Open window fully and release button.

2. Press the window open button for at least 5 seconds, then release. (I heard a faint 'thunk' as the limit switch reset).

3. Close window fully and release button. (If, like mine, the window goes down again, start back at #1, but this time keep holding the button for 'close').

4. Press the window close button for at least 5 seconds, then release. (I heard a faint 'thunk' as the window switch reset).

5. Silicon spray into channels of window frame. -( but this should only be necessary if the window motor is labouring.)

Pretty much as detailed in the owner's handbook, at least in my RC and RX handbooks.

Lexus Swindon is my local dealership, they supplied both my RCs and my current RX and they are ace, superb service every time. Nothing seems too much trouble, very accommodating ...
