Have a 2023 450+ and like a lot of people can’t use the wireless charging with my Iphone 12 Pro Max. Wondered if things have improved with the latest Iphone?

I doubt it, both are MagSafe so the coils are in the same place on the 12 Pro Max and the 15 Pro Max so will probably be the same. If anything with the camera bump being larger, which lifts the phone further away from the charging pad, it could be worse.

Cheers guys, might save myself a few quid and keep my old Iphone. Do like the idea of wireless charging, seems such a waste and disappointing that they didn’t try one of the best selling phones on their wireless charger!!

My Iphone 14 Pro Max in the clear case also works fine, in fact better than expected. Not sure how much juice goes into the phone though. I was not sure that the charging pad would hold the phone in place but it seems to do a good job as well.

Loved my wireless charger and wireless ACP until, one long journey the phone shut down due to heat and lost Waze, it was so hot to the touch it was uncomfortable to hold. Had to pull into a layby program the in car NAV to continue my trip.

I have since reverted to the ancient cable, its faster charging, no lag in data transfer, and the phone stays well within operating temperature, thus saving a little on Battery degradation.

Iphone 15 Plus charges fine on wireless pad with 450h+ and that's while inside bulky Otterbox Defender case.

I also don't trust wireless chargers. My iPhone 14 was overheating a lot. Moreover, because of such charging, I lost my phone. In one of the establishments, the waiter brought me a wireless charger, in the end I forgot the phone on the windowsill where it was charging, when I returned it was no longer there. Then I looked for how to find a lost iphone, read https://moonlock.com/how-to-find-lost-iphone an article about it. But nothing helped anymore. I did not have the Find My iPhone mode turned on and it was immediately turned off. This is another reason why I began to hate these chargers.

With wireless charging, your Iphone Battery wears out faster. There have been cases where the phone exploded because both the charger and the Iphone were heating up, they were heating each other up, which made the temperature even higher.
