I can only find 8. Three  on dash, 2 in each of the front doors, one on the parcel shelf and 1 on each of the back doors?

Similar story for my RX, I think some of the speakers are dual cone which they count as two, so a bit of marketing BS.

Hi

Your description is a little ambiguous - You have mentioned 3 on dash, 2 in EACH of the front doors (4), 1 on parcel shelf and each rear door has 1 (2).

3 + 4 + 1 + 2?

Or do you mean that each front door only has one speaker?

The speaker on the parcel shelf on the Premium Edition MY23 vehicle does not seem to work, is it inactive? Turning on the radio with full bass and it still is silent whilst all other speakers are on.

That doesn't sound right. That rear parcel one is the subwoofer, and when turned up high can even rattle the shelf.

8 grills. A couple of them have two cones, can't remember which two though, either top right and left or more likely lower front door ones. Either twitter mid combo, or mid woofer combo.

Thanks will go through the link, due its first service in a few weeks at the dealer so will raise with them if there is still any doubt about the function.

Checked my23 and I can feel vibration from rear speaker but all the vocals appear to be coming from the front

Mine is a 21 Premium Pack and to experience how good a "basic" sound system it is it must be turned up high. With apple Car play I have to turn the volume up to 23 at least but best results are around 35.

Most of my mp3s are now at least Lossless (as per Apple's definition of Lossless) or Hi-Res Lossless. Some obscure ones are plain vanilla but since they are obscure they don't get played all that much in the car.

Also, my equaliser settings are

  • Turned-all-the-way-up - 1  for High and Mid
  • Bass is one notch down from the other two.

I have nothing bad to say about it tbh... but since different people perceive sound differently, ymmv. But worth a try.
