Lexus Specialists in East Anglia? + wiperblade replacement

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone

Does anyone know of any lexus specialists/ service providers in Norfolk/ Suffolk area?

I saw that main dealer does do servicing but its a pretty penny to swallow (major service 580, minor service 305 + 54 mot +50 hybrid health check)

(64k, 2017 is 300h)

I saw some people say that you could service your lexus at toyota dealership, is that true?

Also my wiper blades wiper has gone wonky, does anyone know which wipers to buy? Do I need to buy the nicest ones if you're gonna have to replace it in 12 month anyways?

Edit: Are these wiper blades any good

Personally.. I would take your lexus to the Dealership although i do recall that you CAN take it to a Toyota Garage for Servicing which might be a BIT cheaper...It does sound a lot of money but consider the cost of anything going wrong with the car It does give you piece of mind....!!!!! Bear in mind though Wear and Tear Is not covered by the Warranty..!!!!

Interesting re service at a Toyota dealership. Yes, they can service the vehicle but cannot service the hybrid side of things. Guess its best to stick with a Lexus dealership for servicing.

Bear in mind with Lexus you get the Relax warranty and Hybrid Battery warranty and a full service history will help maintain the vehicles value.

I do agree service prices are high for what is basically an oil & filter change and inspection, but it's true of all marques  in the UK unfortunately.

I bought a set of Lexus blades (front and rear) for our RX450 for £36.50 from Lexus Direct

(though there is an additional postage cost) . but in the grand scheme of things, I'd rather have wiper blades I know I can rely on (I prefer to see where I'm going! 😉   )

I bought Lexus wipers from Lexus Parts Direct. Previous set (same ones) lasted very well - a few years - and new ones (fitted a few weeks ago) are performing really well too. I believe Denso hybrid blades from Euro Car Parts maybe the same as OEM but the Lexus prices were pretty similar anyway.

You want the denso wiper blades. I second the view that they’re OEM as far as I’m aware. Don’t get the Bosch blades, as they’re rubbish! The Denso were out of stock when I needed some, so got the Bosch. They’re a lousy fit (don’t clip in securely) and drag across the screen at times. I’ll be swapping them for Denso soon.

I use Lexus Norwich for servicing, which are now owned by St Leonard’s Motor Group. They’re OK, but the service was much better back when Inchcape and then Dingles had the franchise imo. Although I begrudge paying nearly £600 and £300 for what’s essentially an oil and filter change, I personally do it for the peace of mind of the Relax Warranty. It would be Sod’s Law that something major would go wrong if I went to an independent!

In the past, I’ve used Roy’s Motor Company in Norwich for repairs to my original IS and RX. They are Toyota/Lexus specialists. Many years ago, they had the Toyota franchise in the area. I’ve always found Ian (I think the Tech’s name is) to be really knowledgeable and they’re far cheaper on labour than the main dealer.

I vouch for Denso also, fitted to mine and they are almost silent, plus as others say they are the the same manufacturer as Lexus bought ones anyway. Got mine from Eurocarparts.
