Hello,

On my MY2010 Ls600hl, the TPMS light is on.

According to the manual, there should be a tpms reset button (under dash) but it's not there!

Can't see any air being lost in tyres and I think a tyre was replaced just before I bought the car.

Is it just a matter of clearing the fault with diagnostics?

Btw.I think all 4 sensors are in the tyres.

Thanks

It can be very difficult to find, it took me ages to find the one in my RC!

I think my manual is referring to the earlier version as my car is the newer 2010 model!

Well, I have a different model Lexus, but I only found mine by getting on my back and looking at the area just under the dash and near the steering column with a torch!

I suspect it’s an example of Japanese sense of humour!  😊

And I’ve been reading before that pre 2012 car TPMS doesn’t have to function for an MOT …… if that helps !

Any help?

Sorry just seen this now, no, this is what's missing from my car, there looks like a bit of plastic covering the area.

I think this maybe done so you go through diagnostics or dealers

Thanks Malc,

It's more annoyance with the light is showing than the MOT.

Will need to get an obdii scanner

Ok guys all sorted.

Went to local locksmith to get a spare key sorted and as he programmed the sapre key he also cleared Tpms light,.it does not come back on! So as long as there is no puncture I am good.

Highly recommended!

I also check the pressures with my preset inflator which automatically fires up if it senses more air is needed.

It also, on rare occasions, reveals another new scuff on my Alloygators so that I can feel good about the cost of a rim repair that I’ve just avoided!

Mines a 13  old car, so not too bothered about scuffs on wheels. More concerned about these damn potholes and road humps that damage the suspension, but that's another topic.
