GS450h Facelift 2016 on Multimedia connected services login

Hi

I have a GS450h Facelift 2016 on Multimedia connected services login. 

I have a login to the My Lexus and associated App - this now requires a 'special character' in the password, so I had to update it.

Then, when you go to login on the car's multimedia there is no way tp enter a special character, only the std QWERTY alphanumeric keyboard?

Can anyone help me with this?

Also my old CD/DVDs with MP3 files on which worked fine in my old GS and IS now cannot be read it says - any ideas on this please?

I also had two USB thumbdrives which both worked on the old  GS and now only one of them works on the new one?

I've never had a GS but I had trouble with special characters on my wife's NX recently.  All I can say is that I eventually found a way to get the keyboard into a mode to display the special characters.  One button or another does it! Not by the car so can't comment on what to push - just that it does exist.

No idea why mp3s might not be playing from CD - never tried that myself.

As for the usb sticks, have you moved them to different ports to be sure it's the stick and not the port?  Otherwise generally newer models have more flexibility in terms of formats and sizes than old.  And you mean it doesn't work at all - not even recognised?

You are right there isnt Much you can do

But plenty of stuff on the INFO page weather Car parking  POIs EMails MMS,

also one feature i like is the WHAT WHERE page you get there by online search
i e POST OFFICE, DONCASTER.

you can also Plan your routes on PC and send them straight to car

They go in the Stored Routes Page i do use that a lot as it gives you uptodate Route Info

I seem to remember that stops pushing text messages to the car system when connected to connective services, which meant that it was a no go for  me.

My texts come straight through i dont get emails tho but never have

I Get the  " You Have a incoming Text message"

but on I phone you have to enable Notifications
