Anyone know if there's a later map version than shown in the picture attached, it dates to more than a year ago and I would expect there to be an update available. When I try to update OTA, I get the message "Problem with map update. Please contact your dealer".

I think the autumn 2023 releases are out but the actual map data is typically at least 1 year out of date so cannot tell if you have the latest or not. If you look on the e-store within the My Lexus portal you should be able to confirm.

My May 23 RZ has the 2022 map version and when I asked the dealer about the message, they said it just means you have the latest version. On all my previous Merc’s, BMW & Range Rover the maps were updated OTA or by USB quarterly - not much use having traffic cameras that are at least a year out of date.

I can confirm that the 2023v2 maps are out and work fine for MM19 systems when loaded with usb. It is supposed to be based on Q1 2023 map data.  Advice is to avoid OTA updates as this removes speed camera modifications on MM19 (not sure about on MM21...)

However, if you have the vehicle internet connected, at least some speed camera data comes over the network connection (eg average speed checks etc) so these do seem to be up to date.

I don't buy the dealers explanation, surely you would get a message saying you have the latest update?

Of course - what a stupid message it is if that is the reasoning. I think the message reveals that the software is not capable of receiving OTA updates and so contact the dealer to receive a dealer installed update. Ridiculous that a so called premium brand offers map updates (including cameras) only every 2 years.

Updates are typically every 6 months.

MM17 and MM19 are certainly updated every 6 months. It seems MM21 is, for some reason, less frequent.
