Car insurances went up for all the car makes, it’s just something we have to get used to. The times when insurance would drop one year from another are long time gone. 
 

What else are you going to replace your Lexus with that will save you money overall?

seems to suggest they similarly have a number of canbus vulnerabilities, but are proactively fixing cars going back to 2016!!

Just insured my 2019 RX with Saga ( some benefits to being an old git ! ). Last year it was £335 with Tesco, their renewal was £854, over 250% increase !!. Saga with the same cover inc legal/breakdown/pncb/vandalism was £563. I tried to better it by phoning brokers who could not get any where near that price. In fact the guy at Chris Wyatt told me that any premium SUV was a nightmare to get cover. He had quoted a guy in London £11000 for a 1990 Land Rover 😱. Next is my email to Lexus to sort out the "Canbus security Pack " to be fitted by Lexus Reading.

Well, it took Lexus UK and Reading Lexus less than an hour to call me to sort the fitting of the plates foc and with a courtesy car for the day. Great service by Lexus  but annoying to have to resort to this to try and keep your car !
