I think there is a lot not seen that could quickly make 'value' appear a lot more realistic. I will say at that price level would you really not expect some significant bills that  bump it up to the price level of a car that was more sorted ? I know I would. Seen quite a few like this that are basically priced for work .

Strange, I see an MOT expiry for next September 24th, but I don't see any details about the MOT at all. How did you know 'sailed' ?

Moreover, would you say an MOT is any indicator of the issues you might find with some parts of the vehicle?

I know it's a 'safety' signal ,but anymore than that?

I think I stand by my first statement. However, if in the event this really required very little then in my view it really would be good value.

As I said initially. It LOOKS good value. Whether it is in the flesh....and the colour combo is nice.

MOT's back to 2006 show just tyres required, rusty exhaust (probably sorted) and faulty tyre sensors/warning light (always a problem when changing/uprating alloys and tyres and easily sorted) so worth a gamble - as when buying ANY used car.

I am in a peculiar situation. Have a garage coming to me as soon as my 84 year old MIL (who lives next door) decides to give up driving. An SC430 will probably take the space. Sadly not this week!

Needs to be seen but it appears to be a genuine car with a few minor niggles and some paintwork to sort out.

The audio door fault will probably be an easy fix - dodgy switch connection at the back of the ash tray.

@Mossypossy you may want to try a later SC430 with the 6 speed box, etc. Equipment levels and standard suspension/handling are a bit closer to the GS.

looks a great car on the face of it .  fresh MOT and " good to go "  .........  not that stolen one referred to on another post that the OP hasn't updated with reg no. etc ... is it 🤣

I actually thought this was interesting.  I liked the colour combo. Mileage not excessive. History looks good. Not stated ,but I know the MOT was just done. Appears to have been someone's 2nd car and not used for probably 12mths prior to ending up at the dealership, hence MOT had elapsed. Of course you don't know until you get there what the overall state of play will be. May well be a couple of thousand to spend ,or more ,but on the face of it again I would say it's priced for some of that, in my view.

oh my .  should I now buy my 3rd Lexus  ???     not sure I'd survive the onslaught from the better 'arf !

Out of season for a SC430  .  winter approaches and a dealer needs to shift redundant stock into ££££

"Out of season for a SC430"

Exactly ,keep the powder dry.

I am capped at 3,000 on my current Insurance policy. I know that isn't going to work too well so I am thinking I just need to times it all by two ...2 x SC430 ; 2 x policies and 2 x 3,000 miles et voila a solution.
