Unfortunately, nothing on the underside of the black plastic trim.

I actually realised today that my Takumi comes  with puddle lights installed (only had the car for a week) 😀

Good to know as I was going to search it. My current UX Takumi has it so was a bit concerned when I saw this post. The problem with Lexus is that aside from Takumi version the rest of the products are not exciting. Or should say once you own a Takumi version there is no way back. Last year I went for the service and they gave me a courtesy car, it was UX but it was rubbish in comparison with Takumi version. Tiny 7” sat nav and manual seat and etc.

not sure I would agree with that - had a top of the range IS, then to the NX 300h Premier, and assumed that when I went for the NX 450h I would go for the Takumi BUT then I found out it only came with a Sun roof.  I know this is a purely personal taste, but that is 1 thing I would not have.  So I went with the premium plus pack and a couple of extras and am very please with the car (the app not so much)

yes these are one or two things from the Takumi I would have liked, but feel my choice was the correct one for me

yes I have had cars with Sun roofs of various designs, but that was 1 line I was not prepared to cross

Yes agree premium plus pack is not far from Takumi and it’s a good choice. What they gave me was entry level I guess.  I never used sunroof during last several years and when I ordered NX350h Takumi I saw sunroof as an option but definitely knew it was not for me. Panoramic roof is much nicer but again as you said it’s a personal taste.

Do you know please from the light whether it is an LED light or old style bulb? Does it give good illumination at night?

Sorry, I don’t know, I did not disassemble it,

as for wherther it is good - this is my first car with this kind light (previous was RAV 4 without such luxury) so I have nothing to compare to. I guess it would show me if there is a puddle I might step in, but I would not say it is very bright.

I had the same issue with my NX350H and decided to fit aftermarket Lexus puddle lights myself. I went with the Vepara product you mentioned from amazon. Even though it doesn’t list the NX350H as compatible, they fit perfectly fine on mine. The installation was straightforward—just pop off the blanking covers, connect the wiring, and snap the new lights in place. They work great and give off a nice, bright projection.

Hello all, just found this great discussion about puddle lights, I am going to order some right away! Does any of you have also suggestions for the internal foot lights? I do not have ambient light in my trim, and those little white floor lights seems to me not really nice...

Were these the lights you ordered?

I have just returned these as although they had the correct connector, they were very deep and fouled on wiring in the door. I didn’t want to force them as did not want to get them stuck.

They were very good, nice and clear, just too bulky. Like many listing they list most Lexus models except they NX. I know others have said they have done the same and they fitted, so it was worth a go.

When I started this topic, I was looking for advice on suitable puddle lights, and decided to go for the ones from Addcarlights here (Style A), as recommended by szhrmp.

Ok, they're a bit more stylish than a simple bulb, but they're bright, functional, fit perfectly, and I've been very pleased with them. You can see what they look like in this post

The Carlights site currently has a 15% discount code for new users (see their home page), which means at the moment you should be able to buy them for around £32.

I swapped out the puddle lights fitted as oem equipment for the ‘addcarlights’ ones. The transformation is simply amazing with very bright & clear logo’s

Just checked this out and they look great.

Did you have any issue with extra duty/VAT charges?

No extra charges at the time I ordered last year. Shipping delay was as expected.

My lights arrived yesterday and I am really pleased with them. Only took 10 days to arrive and worked out to a smidge over £30.

They are very bright and sharp too.

Thanks again to @Fusspot for the recommendation 👍
