Lexus NX 300h F Sports Passenger Side Door Mirror

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, Is it possible to replace the covering that’s around the mirror?

The mirror is fine and the electric folding and mirror adjustments works in every way. The only snag is that I now have a hole in the front of the covering following a minor accident (around the narrow part of the mirror). See attached in the picture.

I have looked on Yoshi parts and also on Amayama. I didn’t see the part I was after. I called Lexus and they said the top-back covering can be replaced (the glossy part) but if it’s the Matt black covering (the one thats all around the mirror) then I have replace the whole assembly at a cost £550 plus vat.

anyone got any suggestion on cheapest way to fix this?

Any Reputable Paint shop Guy should be able to fill that hole with some kind of filler and Mould and spray it black..And it won,t cost you £550 + It seems only a cosmetic job from your picture And if the mirror does everything its supposed to do dont even think about replacing it...

Is it the top or bottom piece, or both that are broken?

The part marked with green arrows is what I need to replace. The bit that’s circled in red is where the damage is (a hole and some cracks). The top/crown of the mirror is blue arrow but that’s ok

Thanks Colin - Yeah I saw these and I may have to go with these. The only thing to think about is will they discolour overtime/will it be a good colour match with the other mirror etc. Also, will need to find a mechanic that would be willing to go through the effort of putting the mirror components in this new part. I might try myself if I can find a video on how to replace a mirror.
