The morning after a very hot day, my GS 450h started as usual but the wing mirrors would not extend, none of the climate control switches would work and every warning light on the the dash was sparkling. I have been informed that the problem is probably being caused by a faulty Computer Assembly Gateway ECU part number 8910030060. As no new ones are readily available, I have been trying to get one from a breaker.  All the breakers want a photograph. I will be most grateful if anyone can help. Also could you please let me know where this part is located in the car and if any of you have ever had a  similar problem

Who diagnosed your issue?

Have you checked the 12volt Battery?  Disconnect for 15 mins and try again. I expect you have already tried this but as this is your first post I thought it worth mentioning.

David many thanks for your response and your suggestion. The diagnosis was done by a senior technician at one of the Lexus dealerships.  They don't have the computer assembly gateway module availabe until October, so I have been searching the internet for one that can be fitting immediately. I thought it would be an easy process through Lexus breakers but I have found it to be extremely difficult. All breakers want photos of the part and all but one of them was not satisfied with a picture of the ECU itself but wanted pictures of the casing and thereby demonstrating very litte or no knowledge of these electronic parts.  I even sent them links to diagrams as to where it could be found on the car.  I don't know if I have just been unlucky but it would be great to find some 'experts' in this field or at least knowledgable sellers.

Hi Chris. First off welcome to the best Lexus forum there is. Because you are new here I strongly recommend you post your issue in the GS section of the forum. You'll get a better response and from fellow GS owners.

Sorry, I am no expert on these matters, I only know the basics. Hopefully someone will reply.

Did they give you the OBD codes that have been flagged up?

In my experience (and a lot of others both here and in the american forums) when the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree then it's usually a sign of the 12V Battery dying.

First thing I would do would be to go to a bettery place and ask them to do a load test on it, and then if necessary, get the OBD codes and tell us what they are.
