RX400H 07 plate Mark Lev Bluetooth query

Hi everybody. Is it even possible to connect and play music from my android phone into the Mark Lev unit? (Preferably by Bluetooth)

Unfortunately not. The Bluetooth functionality is limited to phonecalls only.

 

I was using a Bluetooth cassette adaptor to get music into the system but just recently installed a Grom Vline 2 unit which lets me use Android auto to get music.

On this subject (I have a 2005 RX400H) I now cannot get either of my iPhones 8 and 12 to Bluetooth connect.

Is the onboard Bluetooth modem now obsolete? Are there ways round it?

The phones sometimes see the Bluetooth SSID but when the 4 digit code is entered it just spins ad infinitum.

Used to work fine with my old iPhones 5 and 6.

If your Android phone has a 3 mm jack outlet, can you not plug it into the analogue input in the console? (I assume it has one.) I use this method in my 2007 IS250.

Sadly there is no analogue input in the console of an RX400h.

I added one to my Lexus Rx400h, I used an eBay supplier from Germany, it fits to the rear of the unit via a splitter cable, works brilliantly. Can make calls with it and play music. 

Grom units are silly money, this one was £40. Splitter cable another £15.
