It's been a while

It's almost been an entire year since the last thing I posted!

Lots have changed.

Let's start with what the car looked like for a show in Brandshatch back in June. I've had the exhaust changed to fix the major leak I had from the front downpipes due to some corrosion. I went with a full Stainless Steel custom exhaust up to factory spec to retain the quietness, I've also added a valve to the exhaust to open up the V8 sounds.

Airlift 3P!

So I bought this airlift set back in Black Friday of 2023 and finally installed it. It took a couple of weekends' worth of work but I was pleased with it's performance.

Clear taillights

I don't think this is everyone's cup of tea but I like these. It's a Celsior taillight set that has been made clear by an Instagram user @lexus_kawaii

GOLD!

After long nights of scouring FBMP and eBay, I finally found a set of LS430 OEM gold badges. Turns out that Pre-facelift and Facelift have different-sized Lexus emblems! So I've contacted a gold plater located in West London, should be getting them back this weekend to install!

Wheels

I bought some imported Work wheels from Japan, they're being built currently so no other pictures than just the car up in the air.

Steering wheel

I'm not sure if my steering wheel had sun damage or it's just like this from factory.

Front Lip + New Bumper

I got a brand new front bumper from @LexusPartsDirect and a new lip from an eBay store from Khazakstan

There are probably more modifications that I've forgotten about over the past year! I'll post more updates here if I remember anything I've missed!

Current Car look

Looks good and plenty of good work done ..... well done

That front bumper lip looks very very low ....  on the Ls400 Mk3 it was prone to being bashed about and some, like me, had surgery to remove it !

Looking good 😀 I’ve seen the Celsior gold badge sets going for silly money, fortunately mine already had them fitted, subtle bling.

Are the replacement rear clusters still part LED or using conventional bulbs?

I was debating the celsior badges but the pins won’t be covered on my LS boot!

They are full LED

Thank you!

It's about an inch drop from the OEM lip I think the dark colour of the car makes it look lower than it is. I also scraped it the first week I installed it. 😅

Thanks to @Doc Brown's post in the LS forums, I have my own set of bars imported from Japan, quite expensive after imports (they might have been cheaper via the US)

Will install these on the weekend and find myself a box.

Roof bars fitted!

Instructions are all in Japanese but they're really well built

They whistle like mad past 45mph but I've never used a set before so I'm unsure if that's normal!

Years ago I bid 99p on a genuine Lexus LS400 roof rack on eBay and won it. Collected locally and like new, I tried it on the car then wrapped it up and put it in the shed.

Having never used it several years later I listed it on eBay and a guy in Sweden offered me £100.00 plus shipping cost. Fortunately it fully dismantled so I took loads of pictures to send with it and off it went to Sweden.

I often wonder if it’s still driving around Sweden with a road kill deer strapped on it whistling at over 75 KPH 😀
