Battery disconnection for routing wire for dashcam

I am planning to install a mirror dashcam on a 2012 CT200h and hardwire it for parking mode. However, some have raised concerns about the risk of airbag deployment when routing the wiring under the A-pillar airbag. I need advice and recommendations. Is it safe to disconnect the Battery? Will there be any memory loss or necessary reinitializations? Will I need to go to the dealership to restore settings?

I don't know about a mirror dash cam but I would expect them all to be the same,  but I did install a nextbase dash cam which is no lower than the mirror. I did not disconnect the Battery, it has parking mode in the sensitivity settings being as it has built in Battery what charges while driving. I just tucked the wire under the head lining and when you get to the pillar you only tuck the wire in at the very top the rest goes down the door seal to the bottom and the under the dash, I pulled the accessory fuse piggy and backed it but the fuse cover won't go back on, I didn't want a permanently live wire in case I ran the Battery down.

On my IS250 I ran the cable along the top of the windscreen then down the windscreen side of the A pillar then round the bottom bit and then down the side of the dash. If you go across the top of the A pillar trim the cable could compromise the air bag from deploying.   

There are OBD2 memory savers that you can buy that you just plug in, the other end connects to a different battery- when your Battery is disconnected this saves your settings from going awol.

It's fine to disconnect the Battery and you won't need a dealer. You just may need to reinitialise the auto one-touch windows by holding down the window switch until the glass reaches the bottom and continue to hold for another couple of seconds, then the same on the way up. The sunroof, if fitted, may also need the same - instructions are in the owners manual.

Is it only a driverside window?
