I've just bought a stoplock steering-wheel theft deterrent lock for my UX f-sport, the manufacturers manual recommends the 'Pro' variant.

I've tried to install it, but I can't get it to fit!  Is anyone else using a stoplock with the knack, or is it just a case of being, it doesn't fit!

Thanks

Fits ok on a NX, maybe tell us why it doesn’t appear to fit your UX. pictures may help

I bought a Stoplock Pro for my ES. The Stoplock guide said it would fit, but it didn't; there wasn't enough clearance over the centre of the steering wheel, and the horn kept sounding. I swapped it for the Pro Elite, which did fit. The first one came from amazon - I got the second from Halfords, who let me try one on the car before I bought.

Apologies, mine is a Milenco Pro on the NX not Stoplock 🙄

I'm sending it back, as I can't get it to fit, and the horn is constantly blowing.

Might see if Halfords will let me try other variants

Here’s a Stoplock Pro Elite on my UX. It fits with no issues.

I hope this helps.

I'm going to get a Stoplock Pro Elite now that I've seen this video showing a CANBUS theft on a Lexus done in under 3 minutes. The alternatives include plates under the wheel arches (anyone here had these fitted by Lexus?) and hidden ignition kill switches. But plates under the wheel arches don't prevent keyless relay attacks (although I usually disable my key fob to stop this) and hidden kill switches wouldn't prevent the damage caused by a failed CANBUS attack. The visibility of the Stoplock would surely be a useful deterrent. Other than the inconvenience, the only downside I can imagine is that it's presence could cause a thief to think there was something valuable inside the car. But no anti-theft device will do much more than encourage a determined thief to move on to another easier target.

Any car can be stolen if a thief is determined, however, the stoplock should stop most most theft attempts as it's a lot of hassle and noise (due to power tools) to remove it, hopefully, they'll move on to another vehicle

Just added a Stoplock Pro Elite (£59.99 Halfords) to my 2022 250h UX after an attempted CANBUS attack (thankfully unsuccessful). Fits very easily.

I bought a Stoplock Pro Elite from amazon fits perfectly. I paid ÂŁ43:00 for a used/returned one, box was scruffy but the lock is like new. Probably never used just returned due to not fitting the steering wheel.
