Door handles and attempted break ins

Our house cameras caught someone trying to break into our cars last night which highlighted a possible issue with our 'clever' door handles.

The thief first tried the wife's car with 'normal' door handles and after one pull confirmed it was locked. However, when he moved onto my NX450 the static door handles caused much confusion which resulted in him pulling really hard on numerous occasions. I've checked for any issues this morning but all seems OK.

Maybe an unforeseen disadvantage of these handles?

Well atleast it's idiot proof 

I doubt it's easy to pull off the actual handle. It'll be fixed quite well I think
