Dvd player when parked

Make sure that the parking brake is on perhaps? My IS's wouldn't do anything with DVDs or image files unless it was engaged. I haven't tried a DVD in Betsy yet.

Cheers Mincey - yeah definitely parked - and 99% sure the parking brake is on (does it by default right?)

Just wondered if anyone has actually successfully tried it and it definitely works?

I'll dig out a DVD and give it a go.

Well! I'll go to the foot of our stairs. I've had the ES for 18months and never tried the CD player let alone play a DVD. All works well parked up with auto brake on and in auxiliary mode.

Be careful in using the electronics when in auxiliary mode as you are running on the auxiliary 12v Battery alone and it's known that these have little charge reserve.

If sat waiting for Mrs NemesisUK I will leave the car in Ready mode and in P and let the traction Battery power everything. The ICE will start and stop to maintain the charge level

What year and grade ES do you have? Only vehicles with the 12.3” display have a DVD player.

That's probably it then - it's the pre facelift (69 plate). Weird because even my 07 IS250 had a dvd player back in the day!

Can confirm this. Betsy didn't want to know about the DVD I inserted.

It worked fine on my previous MY21 touchscreen, obviously I have now lost the ability, although I wonder if it will play MP4 files?
