Keeping the battery topped up while away for 4 months.

Should I disconnect the Battery if I am not using my 250h sport for 4 months? I'm a bit concerned about leaving it on trickle charge for that long unattended.

What make of charger do you have? The likes of CTek are maintenance chargers, designed to be left connected for extended periods of time.

It is not a good idea to leave it on a dumb trickle charger for weeks but a CTek/Noco etc. intelligent charger is designed to stop overcharging.

Exactly what I do, but I have mine on a smart switch to come on for a few hours twice a week and that has worked well for me.

I have a CTEK that I use on my 2010 Honda CRZ 12v Battery. It overwinters with the CTEK trickle charging.

The car is now 13 years old and still on the 12v original Battery.

I believe Honda uses a number of different manufacturers for their OEM batteries, so this exceptional performance says a lot for the CTEK.

I too have one - and a NOCO Power Pack for emergencies - and although they may seem expensive purchases initially, they can prove to be excellent investments in the long term.  

I hope this has reassured the OP.
