Share to car not available on the link app

Hello all, I purchased an NX450h+ in Nov 2022 and I've been trying use the app to plan a journey, but it doesn't seem to be available in the app. The dealer told me it was a feature available in the app when I was buying the car, but now they are saying my model is too advanced and the feature won't be available until Q1 2024. I'm starting to think they are spinning me a line as it seems a long time to wait for a feature that seems relatively simple to build. Even my wife's Nissan Juke can do this.

Does anyone have any advice or ideas or information on this.

Looking forward to hearing someone else's experience.

Good question.   

I asked my dealer about this last Saturday along with a request for information when Wireless Android Auto will be made made available.  The response was predictable and I quote....   'We have no information from head office on when those systems will be updated and to send a note to customer service'

If I send the note to customer service I expect the answer will be to contact the dealership. With all the other threads on the LOC forum discussing App stability and functionality issues,  will these upgrades just be pouring fuel on the fire....  🤬

I have an android phone, I use the NaviBridge app to send my destination to the Infotainment system via Bluetooth if I want to use the built-in Nav system.   TBH, I tend to use either the TomTomGo or Radarbot apps via Android Auto if I am going any great distance.   The audible warning for speed cameras on the built-in Nav system is inaudible if I have the radio on at even a media level of volume TomTomGo and Radarbot have excellent audio and visual warnings.

My previous RAV4 phev had this function both in the app and MyToyota portal. As you say, it's in neither of the Lexus versions.

I was told last September, October time that this feature was a high priority so it is disappointing that here in Europe we are still waiting. I guess the team have prioritised logging-on and find-my-car problems ahead of this feature. I believe it is available on the US version but not sure if there is any sharing of code between the US and Europe.
