So my IS300H had been "rattling" for the past 3 days. Suspected a loose muffler/silencer but checked the boot for any loose items first. Underneath the boot liner I found this small metal piece - loose and rattling around. Never seen it before but it's quite corroded. Removed it and no more rattling, so it appears this was the cause. Any idea what it could be, or where it's from?? It has a hexagonal shape inside. I'm totally baffled by it!

Pretty certain it's not a car part, looks like a furniture fitting or similar, probably from someone taking a trip to the dump.

That would make a lot of sense, wife took our old toilet seats to the local dump around 6 months ago聽馃ぃ

It must have fallen loose and eventually fallen through the boot lining haha
