New join. UX250h next week

I am Ken, new to Lexus and join this family for a 2020 UX250h delivery to me early next week! Think of what dash cam may fit my UX. Budget around £200. Any suggestions?

My wife just has a basic Nextbase 222 with hardwire kit in her UX

I had a Nextbase front and rear fitted at Jemca Reading a while ago when they were doing a special offer for £222.50.

I just looked at the invoice. It’s dated June 2021. So not relevant now. However it’s a neat and unobtrusive installation.

I hope you enjoy your UX250h. I’m an outgoing owner of a 2020 F-Sport that I’ve had from new. Boot space aside, it’s proven to be a thoroughly competent and reliable car.

I have an aging Nextbase 212 dashcam which I’m hoping to upgrade over the next 12-18 months. It's not hardwired into my UX though - it just fits onto it’s own mount at the top of the windscreen!

The current Which Best Buy is the Nextbase 222.

However this two camera version is under £100 and has several benefits.

It can be hard wired and has a Parking Mode - both features well worth having.

The rear facing camera looks through the car interior and is not fixed to the rear window, but a separate rear camera system will almost certainly exceed your budget.  Apart from which, this Nextbase avoids the need for additional wiring..

My only other suggestion is to have a spare SD Card with you, so that in the event of an incident, you can swap the card to retain the evidence.  And get the biggest card the system will take and remember to reformat at regular intervals.

Thanks for advice.  I finally go for a 70mai pro plus A500s front and rear for approx £120 plus a kit of take power from OBD port at £8 and a SD card at £9.  I order from amazon and shall arrived next week.  Will see if they work and report here.
