cost to replace a failing AC condenser - 2012 Lexus GS250

Hi all

Just got told I need to replace a failing AC condenser...Not an urgent repair for me - can anybody guide me on costs here? 

My understanding is that AC units are not special (i.e. a competent mechanic should be able to fit a Toyota) - pls correct me if I am wrong here

Can't speak to costs but I think the general rule of thumb is to use OEM parts, usually Denso. They last the longest and have the most reliability and cheaper aftermarket parts can be a false economy with a Lexus
