Options for towing are covered in the owners manual. For an AWD NX the only real option is a flatbed recovery unless you are only towing a very short distance at low speeds in Neutral.

I continue to be astounded by the number of people who don't read their manuals (or RTFM).

Admittedly most of them are fairly heavy going, but it's small wonder that so many don't get the best out of their cars- or even operate them safely.

It’s a plugin and play world. I do read the manual when I don’t fully understand a bit of tech and hopefully I will never need a tow. If we highlight things that most of us who are lucky to own some of the most reliable cars around today that will not need , it just makes information into common knowledge.

I used to read the manual "cover to cover" when I first got a new car but nowadays the manuals are huge and full of stupid bits of information that I really don't need to know (warning.... engine may be hot.....don't drink the oil.......don't lick the Battery.......🙄🙄)

Hopefully the Lexus manual is "an easy read" - I'll let you know, assuming that I ever get one 😀

My 2020 model came with a shortened printed manual. The full version and similarly sized infotainment one are only on line available to download....And yes, they ramble on and on including the bleeding obvious like don't put your head in the microwave when it is working.

This provided a constant source of wry amusement for many of us - not least the late and much missed John Williams (Roy of the Rovers).

I do agree.  My modest Lexus surprised me by coming with a Manual in two volumes totalling about 1100 pages!  Very often the crucial information was tucked away in the pages of additional notes.

I thought it might make suitable bedtime reading, but it’s a bit too racy for me!  😊

The vehicle manual combined wit the infotainment manual is over 800 pages.
I've read it cover to cover, my gosh its a boring read, no story whatsoever, but does explain everything along the way.
