Watched a video tutorial on how to connect apple Music to Lexus NX but the app that I have does not correspond with the one shown in the video. Is this function only available in the USA and not in Europe?

Yep that’s the American app, you link your phone to the car, and then set up what screen apps you want on car play on your phone and it should mirror.
 

Settings, general, CarPlay, Lexus, customise, and then click on the apps you want on the CarPlay Home Screen in the car.
