RX400H replacement centre pipe sound

Recommended Posts

Hi, my exhaust centre pipe has 2 leaks (the one with the secondary cat along it). The aftermarket part is £500+fitting, so after recommendation from the garage I plan to have a straight replacement pipe fitted without the cat to 1. fix issue and 2. pre-empt any cat theft issues.

Question: If anyone else has had this done did it make and difference to the sound/noise from the tailpipe?

Thanks

Yes it does, I would have kept a silencer there too though. Just remove the cat. Anyway, moot point, a great exhaust place in Leicester has had a look and declared the system in good overall condition and re-welded one joint and added a patch to another weak spot (near where the counter-weight thingy is). £90 all in. I'm happy.
