Hey everyone  ...  can you confirm that where the dash warning lights appear on a pre April 2012 car that it is NOT a MOT Fail    ??

Clearly the car has to be roadworthy and everything working as it should to pass the MOT     BUT   simple dash light malfunction itself is NOT a MOT fail  ?  or is it  ?

Thanks for your guidance

"Your car will not fail the MoT due to the engine warning light being on. This MoT rule only applies to diesels that were registered after 1 July 2008 and petrols that were registered after 1 July 2003."
So all you LS400 owners are safe, but some of us LS430 owners are at risk and all LS460/600 owners.
Other lights that can cause an MOT failure would be VSC, ABS, Brakes, and Tyre Pressure monitors if fitted.
Only RED lights are failures. Orange lights are added to the list of Advisory issues.
