Hi,

just bought an LS460.

How often should the spark plugs be replaced on the LS460. They were last done at 60k car is on 105k now. Worth doing now or wait until 120k?

Hi Daniel and welcome to the LOC.

Spark plugs are normally part of the “major (expensive)” service at 60k and multiples thereof so next due at 120k.

If there are no problems like a misfire and the other servicing is up to date I would wait until then.

The plugs used nowadays tend to be iridium tipped with a claimed life of “ up to 100k miles” so should easily manage 60k.

One good thing is having a timing chain and not a belt on your engine which on earlier models the belt required replacement on the same timescale.

Finally enjoy your new purchase 😀
